Introduction

Mixing a solution of copper sulphate with one of sodium carbonate (washing soda) produces a remarkably visual reaction and precipitate!

    • Do not ingest any of the materials.

  1. Take out the given Sodium Carbonate and Copper Sulphate crystal packets. Transfer the Copper Sulphate crystals into a transparent container. Add water to it and stir well.
    • Take out the given Sodium Carbonate and Copper Sulphate crystal packets.

    • Transfer the Copper Sulphate crystals into a transparent container.

    • Add water to it and stir well.

  2. Stir until all the crystals dissolve and you get a clear solution. Now transfer the Sodium Carbonate crystals to an empty container. Add water to it and stir well.

    • Now transfer the Sodium Carbonate crystals to an empty container.

    • Add water to it and stir well.

  3. Stir until all the crystals dissolve and you get a clear solution. Both the solutions are ready to use . Pour the Sodium Carbonate solution into the container containing Copper Sulphate solution.
