  1. Take  3 glasses of water, First glass  with  fresh hot water, second glass with normal water and third glass with fresh cold water
    • Take 3 glasses of water, First glass with fresh hot water, second glass with normal water and third glass with fresh cold water

    • Take 3 cut pieces of Beetroot of same size

    • Insert each cube in 3 different glasses

    • As soon as you put beetroot piece in hot water you will see small jet of bubbles moving upwards

    • Hot water will have deep red colour diffused in the bottom

    • When you heat a beetroot piece/ put in a hot water, cell membrane gets disrupted and pigment betalain starts bleeding out

    • Normal water will have red color diffused in the bottom but less compared with hot water

    • Cold water also have red colour diffused in the bottom similar to normal water

    • Fresh cut piece of beetroot will have some cut cells on the surface so water turns deep red

    • Beetroot cells contain a red pigment, Betacyanin, stored in the cell vacuole

    • Now wash beetroot 5- 6 times in water in a gap of 1 hour, till beetroot stops leaving its colour

    • Now put the cut pieces in fresh hot water, normal water and fresh cold water

    • Hot water will have little red colour diffused in the bottom

    • Normal and cold water will have red color diffused in the bottom but less compared with hot water

    • Hot water should be above 60 degrees

    • Cold water should be between 1-10 degrees
